organisation into an effective and profitable unit.
Team management: Manage and develop a team of 5 people into a cohesive and effective team.
HRIS: Employee data and reporting structure clean-up to ensure correct and complete employee
data is available for Self Service applications as well as financial reporting.
Payroll: Transform payroll from purely manual, local process to complete online process
administered from the Oversight Country.
Key achievements/projects
50% reduction of manual payroll paperwork in 6 months.
Reducing manual reporting by 80% in the first year.
Successfully planned, launched and completed the implementation of the ABB Global Grading
System for jobs, including communication strategies and mop-up in a positive way.
Redesigned and implemented the local benefit structure in line with ABB’s global guidelines for fair
and equitable compensation.

In this role I was responsible for ensuring the planning and execution of all standard ABB Group employee
processes for the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Pakistan
Key responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits: Ensuring the alignment of local compensation practices & policies in all
countries in the sub-region so as to ensure as much standardisation as possible.
Talent Management – Shared responsibility for overseeing Talent Management and Learning &
Development in the sub-region. Individual development plans for team members, annual training
calendar. Overseeing annual Manpower Plan reporting.
Talent Acquisition: Overseeing the Talent Acquisition team and ensuring KPI’s are met and enhance
team motivation.
Team management: Manage and develop a team of 16 members, most of them specialists in

Global Mobility: Overseeing the process to ensure the success of Short Term Employee
Assignments & Long Term Employee Assignments as well as VIP movements in the Southern Gulf
sub-region.

Integration of Pakistan ABB into the Sub-Region by aligning policies and practices and integrating
functional processes into the HR Centre.
Planning and executing the implementation of Global Grading Phase IV in the Southern Gulf and
later Pakistan.
2014 – Talent Acquisition team makes an average of 3 offers to candidates every 2 working days.
12.67% saving on the HR Centre budget 2014 year end.
Initiating and successful implementation of changes to the Annual Compensation Review system as
well as Allowance Payments process, for full legal compliance.
Initiated and ensured finalisation and implementation of a redrafted employment contract in the
UAE for full legal compliance.
Created a new form of temporary employment contract in the UAE for periodic hosting of
professional employees from other ABB countries.
Successful roll-out of the formal Pre-Employment Screening process in the Sub-Region.
