Line Up Aviation is a leading European recruitment company specialising in the


placement of Executive, Engineering and Maintenance personnel on behalf of some of
the world’s leading airlines, manufacturers and MRO organisations. The company has
over 30 years experience in business aviation and 20 years dedicated solely to
aviation recruitment. We manage placements for both permanent and contract staff.

Our Headquarters are close to Gatwick Airport in the UK and we have offices and
representatives in Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Bahrain and Singapore.

Managed Services

Line Up are able to provide a full on site management function, where a


number of contractors are deployed for special project work. The selection and
coordination of a whole team by skill, nationality, experience and the ability to
work as a successful unit, can be a time consuming exercise.

In order to reduce the amount of time our client managers spend on personnel
management, we would base a manager at our client’s site to work alongside
the line management and HR function. This interface ensures that
communication with all parties is maintained and the full range of coordinated
activities are managed to provide a seemless integration of the team.

The Challenge
To take on the responsibility for Federal Express’s recruitment and HR programme
in Europe. Ensure skills applicable are of the highest quality. Communications
written and verbal must be commensurate with Fedex’s exacting standard for a
seamless global distribution operation.

The Strategy
Gain thorough understanding of Fedex’s development objectives in Europe.
Resource suitable candidates with required capabilities and languages by
interrogating our database and where applicable advertise the positions jointly with
Fedex. Reference check and manage the interview processes, organise payroll,
taxation and HR guidance. Mobilisation of candidates, induction processes and
final placement administration. Regular monitoring of candidate welfare and
performance. Regular site visits to Fedex locations to meet management and
candidates to review and audit services of Line Up to the operation.

The Result
During the 10 years we have partnered with Fedex, we have developed together
expanding our geographic reach. As of 2008 we currently manage 32 key Fedex
staff members throughout Europe (including their use of the ‘Aeronovali’ facility in
Venice), South East Asia and China with further expansion planned.
