A Reflection on the Globalization of Education


“Before it was just industrialization, now its globalization.”

Nowadays, development and growth is evident in all parts of the world. We see
improvement in the aspect of economics, infrastructure, technology, etc. Given these
improvements, there is a need to extensively train the students, especially in basic
education in order for them to become competitive in the modern world of work. Thus,
globalization of education is really necessary.

I was personally happy with the improvement of education, especially the


integration of technology in the teaching-learning process. With globalization, learning
does not only take place in the four walls of the classroom. The students are venturing
into a bigger educational arena, and they interact with other students inside and outside
the country. In this way, learning is not just limited with the available resources of our
country for it allows the students to exchange ideas with their fellow students outside the
country. The students are learning and interacting with fun, and they also get updated
with the latest trends of the world.

The teachers are also benefited with globalization. Since the traditional classroom
