Introduction

GRADE 12 Senior High School Students have started their work immersion related to
their selected academic track or their selected vocational course. The immersion trains
students and strengthen their skill or expertise for their work in the future. It is part of the
K-12 program which prepares students to work in companies. According to the
Department of Education, this program is an 80-hour hands-on encounter which Senior
High students must experience to open them to the genuine working environment setting
and improve their abilities learned in school. The Department of Labor and Employment
said work this is an integral part of the K to 12 Program in fully realizing its goal to produce
job-ready graduates equipped with industry-based skills. DOLE strongly affirms that work
immersion contributes to the full realization of the objectives of the K to 12 Program .
Through this program, the students can be ready for their big step in working and be
comfortable and familiar with business-related conditions in line with their specialization.
Students experience the social interaction in work environment that would help them as
they graduate and face real life. Work immersion is useful as it enables Senior High
students to decide if what they have chosen in school is what they want to have as a
career. Being able to test their skills and knowledge in practice will help them develop
their career choice.
D. EXHIBITS (Reflection)

Our Booth’s content is all about the major subjects that we have Physics, Biology, And
Pre-calculus in physics section we have prism triangles that reflects laser light and
magnet that bounces back a needle. Biology Booth has all the different kinds of animals
that you can only see here in Palawan such as Pilandok or most common called the
Palawan reindeer and the balintong (anteater) the kids love it and they all start taking
pictures. Lastly, the precalculus booth created some games such as Hanoi towers and
mini puzzles to entertain the kids. We also prepare in our booth the popcorns for our
movie theater inside of the classroom. I think all of us work hard and provide some money
for the expenses of the booth I realize that for the first time our section who has a lot of
egotistic people work together as one It felt great to me because it never happened once
in our entire school year. I think the message of this activity was even though everybody
has different kinds of personality whether good or bad one it doesn’t really matter at all
people makes mistakes, using inappropriate words or cursing each other, making
irrational decisions that can cause a lot of mess up on one’s individual tears pour down
to those soft hearted person but I hope everything will change all of us has the right to
have that “second chance” in life. I wish that they feel the same. I want to say I’m sorry
for all the mess I’ve done from this day forward change is coming to those people who
truly want to become a good person who is willing to serve others.

LEARNING IMPLICATIONS (MAJOR SUBJECT)
BIOLOGY ONE

Biology is the study of life. Modern biology is a vast field, composed of

many branches. Despite the broad scope and the complexity of the science, there are
certain unifying concepts that consolidate it into a single, coherent field. Biology
recognizes the cell as the basic unit of life, genes as the basic unit of heredity,
and evolution as the engine that propels the creation of new species. Living
organisms are open systems that survive by transforming energy and decreasing their
local entropy to maintain a stable and vital condition defined as homeostasis.

Homeostasis is the ability of an open system to regulate its internal environment

to maintain stable conditions by means of multiple dynamic equilibrium adjustments that
are controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms. All living organisms,
whether unicellular or multicellular, exhibit homeostasis.

The survival of a living organism depends on the continuous input of energy.

Chemical reactions that are responsible for its structure and function are tuned to
extract energy from substances that act as its food and transform them to help form new
cells and sustain them. In this process, molecules of chemical substances that
constitute food play two roles; first, they contain energy that can be transformed and
reused in that organism's biological, chemical reactions; second, food can be transformed
into new molecular structures (biomolecules) that are of use to that organism.
LEARNING IMPLICATIONS (MAJOR SUBJECT)
CHEMISTRY ONE
The word chemistry comes from alchemy, which referred to an earlier set of practices that
encompassed elements of chemistry, metallurgy, philosophy, astrology, astronomy,
mysticism and medicine. It is often seen as linked to the quest to turn lead or another
common starting material into gold. Naturally, a student of my age would not appreciate
chemistry the first time they even hear about it because we don’t usually get to enjoy
chemical experiments we don’t get to use every day however, the alchemist is a real
history and authenticity in a book and chemistry would help us find out more.

Traditional chemistry starts with the study of elementary

particles, atoms, molecules, substances, metals, crystals and other aggregates of
matter. This matter can be studied in solid, liquid, or gas states, in isolation or in
combination. The interactions, reactions and transformations that are studied in chemistry
are usually the result of interactions between atoms, leading to rearrangements of the
chemical bonds which hold atoms together. Such behaviors are studied in a
chemistry laboratory. Atoms, elements, compounds, mixtures and molecules are actually
the basics that we here when someone talks about chemistry. Last school year we have
surfaced the basics of it all and differentiated them too.

The atom is the basic unit of chemistry. It consists of a dense core called the atomic
nucleus surrounded by a space hosting an electron cloud. The nucleus is made up of
positively charged protons and uncharged neutrons (together called nucleons), while the
electron cloud consists of negatively charged electrons which orbit the nucleus. In a
neutral atom, the negatively charged electrons balance out the positive charge of the
protons. While, a chemical element is a pure substance which is composed of a single
type of atom, characterized by its particular number of protons in the nuclei of its atoms,
known as the atomic number and represented by the symbol Z. The mass number is the
sum of the number of protons and neutrons in a nucleus. Although all the nuclei of all
atoms belonging to one element will have the same atomic number, they may not
necessarily have the same mass number; atoms of an element which have different mass
numbers are known as isotopes. The standard presentation of the chemical elements is
in the periodic table, which orders elements by atomic number. The periodic table is
arranged in groups, or columns, and periods, or rows.

PRECALULUS

Last school year’s mathematics taught us the foundation and basics of our calculus life
for the 12th grade. Mainly our topics were about the four conic sections, namely; Ellipse,
Hyperbola, Parabola and Circle. Conic Sections are figures that can be formed by slicing
a three-dimensional right circular cone with a plane. There are different ways to do this,
and each way yields a different figure. These figures can be represented on the graph as
well as algebraically. A conic section is the intersection of a plane and a cone. By
changing the angle and location of the intersection, we can produce a circle, ellipse,
parabola or hyperbola.

Circle, is formed by cutting a circular cone with a plane perpendicular to the

symmetry axis of the cone. This intersection is a closed curve, and the intersection is
parallel to the plane generating the circle of the cone. A circle is also the set of all points
that are equally distant from the center. The equation of a circle is defined as

where (h,k) is the center of the circle and r is the radius. In standard form, the equation
would be

Ellipses, is formed by cutting a three-dimensional cone with a slanted plane. This

differs from a circle in that an ellipse does not have a constant radius. It has a radius that
changes in between an x radius and y radius. However, an ellipse has two focal points in
which the sum of the length of both focal points to any given point on the ellipse is always
the same. The standard equation of an ellipse is given as follows.

where (h,k) is the center of the ellipse, rx is the distance from the center of the circle in
the x direction and ry is the distance from the center in the y direction.
Parabola, is the set of points that are equally distant from a focus point and the directrix,
a fixed line. The standard equation depends on the axis of symmetry. A vertical axis has
a focus at (h,k+p) and the equation (x-h)2=4p(y-k). A horizontal axis has a focus
at (h+p,k) and the equation (y-k)2=4p(x-h). The vertex is always halfway in between the
focus and directrix at a distance p from both.

Hyperbola, A hyperbola is formed when a plane slices the top and bottom section
of the cone. The equation for a hyperbola is

PHYSICS

Physics is one of the most known branches of Science that is being fed to some
of the Senior High School students of the Philippines. Fortunately, we are one of the
many. Last school year’s Physics was the basic and introduction to the world of “Nature’s
knowledge”. Physics is the natural science that involves the study of matter, its motion
and behaviour through space and time. Mostly, people would differentiate Physics and
Mathematics because the two shares a common ideal. We solve problems in Physics
with equations and numbers, which is actually a mathematical procedure in a science.
The main goal of Physics is to understand how the universe behaves, like a mother trying
to assume how her child grows and acts.

Physics can either be theoretical or experimental. In experimental physics,

physicists address a scientific problem using techniques such as the scientific method in
an attempt to prove a single or multiple hypothesis. Theoretical physics on the other
hand, is often more conceptual in that physicists are focused on developing scientific
laws, such as the theory of quantum mechanics. There are these “fundamental laws of
Physics” in which we studied comprehensively.

Physics is complicated, but it does fundamentally rely on a number of accepted

laws of nature. Some are historical and ground-breaking discoveries in science. These
include Sir Isaac Newton's Law of Gravity as well as his Three Laws of Motion. Albert
Einstein's Theory of Relativity the laws of thermodynamics also fall into this category.
