Objectives
-Introduce the key issue
-Define and understand “Millennial”
-Discuss turnover rates and retention in nursing
-Create a vision for change (Nora)
-Analyze strategies for information dissemination from a systems
perspective (Angela)
-Implement change at a global and local level
-Examine interdisciplinary concerns in accordance with the key issue
(Maureen)
-Conclusion-understand all levels of the change process

Millennial Nurse Turnover

-88 million Millennials vs Baby Boomers 77 million


-Most ethnically and racially diverse generation in US History
-Millennials are goal oriented and tend to invest loyalty in
their teams built within their units, rather than in leadership
staff
-Four job changes 10 years after college graduation is the
“norm”
