Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Describe how you could address
Universal Design for Learning principles to extend and support the learning
experiences for all students.

Lesson idea implementation: As you address the standards, what will students
and teachers do? How will the project be introduced? How long will it take to
complete? How will student learning be assessed? How will the final product be
used to inform/differentiate learning? How will you extend the student learning
to a higher learning level? How will you conclude the lesson? How will you
provide feedback to students about their work? MINIMUM 2 paragraph
overview.
I would start my lesson by showing the PowerPoint shown above. This
PowerPoint shows a slide with the color and different animals that are the color
and then the color word. After a review on colors, I would have the students
create their own color PowerPoint. I would have the student choose their
favorite color and add pictures of different animals, foods, or objects that go a
long with that color
With the project, this lesson would probably take a couple hours but I would
stretch it over 2 or 3 days with a review at the beginning of each day. I would
conclude this lesson by having the students present their work and I would
grade them accordingly.

Reflective Practice: After designing this lesson idea, how do you feel the
activities you created could impact student learning? You may have designed
this idea as an introductory activity to a unit of study. With that in mind, what
could be done to further extend the lesson? Are there other technology tools that
could further enhance this project?
I believe this could help be a great introduction to a lesson on colors. I could
further the lesson by doing an art lesson with colors. I could even use a website
and let the students create their own color picture.
