Study Plan

Reaching the highest academic levels is a long-term, ultimate as well as achievable goal that requires
from me plenty of patience and perseverance. I vividly remember the day when I decided to be a real figure
in my society. It was when I attentively listened, for the first time in my life, to the announcement of the
names of the top ten students in high school in my country. Only then did I recognize how glorious the
moment was when hard work was eminently and eventually culminated with success and achievement. I
determined to be among the elite and did my best to achieve this goal. I was only fourteen years old at that
time, but I saw myself as an academic.
As a matter of fact, the way to real success is long and arduous and needs one to be armed with
persistence along with ambition. For me, the first required step to walk on this path was to have a
bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. I had that degree and did my best to form the basis for the
coming steps on the way to achieve my aim. I graduated after great efforts of study and research from Taiz
University. I am currently aspiring to take the second step which is represented in a master's degree in
Industrial Engineering.
To be a leading effective person in my society was and still is an aspiring ambition that grew with me
day by day. It is a long way that needs many years and constant good-faith and effort. This long-term goal
always occupies my mind. I struggled a lot to form a firm base for this ambition. I studied Industrial
Engineering for five years at college to prepare the way for an easy access to the field I really want to
explore, pioneer and excel in, i.e. Industrial Engineering. No one can imagine how immensely I suffered to
fulfill my first academic life step. My bachelor’s five-year study was an important step towards my ultimate
objective which my family had also suffered a lot to help me achieve.
Here and after finishing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, I am making another giant step
forward. Hopefully and eagerly, I am competing to win a seat in this master's program offered by CSC for
certain reasons.
The reasons for choosing a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering are many. They could be
discussed in three groups: reasons related to my country and others related to me as well as to my
academic background. In my under-developing country, government policies and programs form a key
factor that should help improve people's life economically and socially as well. The graduates of industrial
engineering, as I believe, should be sensitive to meet employer and customer needs and to make changes
in business, industry and the government. However, the government policy in my country needs plenty of
reformations and wise manipulation and handling. The advancement of management and policies is the
first thing we have to do so that the government can function and, as a result, the country can develop. In
my home country, we are in need for many industrial reformations. Industry in Yemen is still in its first
stages and is, however, lacking in many manufacturing systems like those found in the great European and
Asian nations instead of its primitive existing ones. Here, therefore, lies our role as industrial engineers. The
development of the country should, to a great extent, be on the top of our priorities. We need to transmit
the trading and industry systems applied in the great nations and bring them into application in our
factories and production units. We should help to make the change though. I hope to be nominated for this
program to bring my words into actions.
Academically, the educational institutions in my country, especially universities, are the biggest source
of development in the country. That source is at such institutions that we lead a scientific revolution by
building minds that could bridge the gap between our country and other nations. Young human resources
are many in Yemen, but they need wise direction and manipulation. This, in my opinion, is the duty of
academic institutions, centers and intellectuals. I am, therefore, planning to pursue my high studies in order
to be able to play a major role in the change the nation is expecting in the near future.
After completing a master degree in Industrial Engineering, I will be certified in all recognizable core
areas or at least some major administrative roles within an establishment. An Industrial Engineering degree
is one that is highly known around the world. It can also be used to demonstrate other career fields since it
is highly compatible with other degree programs. In Yemen, however, qualified administration professionals
are in great demand, and more qualified administrative practitioners are required.
Personally, I apply for this scholarship because I really need to finish my higher studies in a place
where knowledge and scholars are highly appreciated. China is, to the best of my knowledge, a fertile place
for studying where prestigious academic institutions and libraries as well as multi resources exist. I hope to
acquire and extend knowledge related to my major in a place where my field is firmly grounded. It is a great
chance for me to expand my knowledge and widen my horizons in other walks of life. There, in China, I will
also be able to absorb a new culture and meet people from different backgrounds. One more thing, I also
need to improve my family educational and living conditions through occupying a highly respected position
in my society. My family expects a lot from me as do my friends and professors, and I cannot let them
down.
One of the interesting things about study in China is not just only studying, but also getting to know
Chinese cultures as well as Chinese people who already know how to make their own country the largest
and most economic country in the world. Based on this, I will be able to know how Chinese have made their
own home a better country, especially their educational background. China is also a place where I think a
person can study in the areas of diverse engineering including industrial engineering, which I believe is one
of the strongest fields existed there along with trade and industry.
As I believe, China has become one of the best countries around the world when it comes to
something called industry. Therefore, I think my major, which is industrial engineering, is highly appreciated
in China. I will gain a lot of experience regarding my discipline once I perch my legs there.
Finally, Chinese language is the language of business and economy. Studying in China for almost three
years will help me demonstrate Chinese which will be added into my skill set as a new language to the two I
already have: Arabic and English.
This program forms a start point from which I will be able to take many other future steps. I am
whole-heartedly competing for this chance not because it is the only one but because it is the most fitting
to my hopes and aspirations as well as my future plans. I need to follow the steps leading to a better future
for me and my society. The CSC program, therefore, will help me achieve one step on this on-going
challenging journey.
