International Paper’s Springfield Mill consists of a Paper

Machine, Pulp Digester, Recycled Paper Plant Steam Generation and Recovery Springfield Mill
Plant, and a Water Treatment System -- all on 450 acres. The mill produces Fact Sheet
linerboard, which is the inside and outside paper of a brown box. The paper machine
produces approximately 1700 tons of linerboard per day. Paper ranges from 33
pounds to 96 pounds per 1000 square feet.

History The Springfield Mill was constructed by Weyerhaeuser Company in 1948 801 42nd St.

and has operated continuously since that time. In 2008, the facility was purchased
by International Paper.

Environmental Performance The Springfield Mill continues a long
