Removing the White Background in Photoshop

Overview
This document describes how to edit files for printing from the OKI proColor 920 WT without the white background in Adobe Photoshop
CS. These instructions are only relevant to the OKI proColor 920 WT. If you are using a vector file or file with a transparent background
in Illustrator, for instance, you can print directly from the file without editing.
APP GUIDE
Procedure
1. Load the image data

2. Use a selection tool (Magic Wand function here) and click the background. You may use a Lasso Tool for detail.

3. Once you are finished selecting the entire image including small details, perform the Inverse. Go to Select and click Inverse.

4. Click the arrow of Paths and perform the Make Work Path menu.

5. Input the value of Tolerance.

Note: If you want to select only the printable image, use a smaller value such as 0.5. The larger the Tolerance, the more white will
appear around your selected image.

6. Click the arrow of Paths and perform the Save Path menu.
Click OK to save Working Path as Path 1.

7. Click the arrow of Paths and perform the Clipping Path menu.
Click OK to select Path 1 as Clipping Path.

8. Save the image data by Photoshop format (PSD).

9. Select the Print with Preview menu.

10. Print the image according to your personal specifications.
