LESSON PLAN Format

OBJECTIVE(S) (Be sure to include all four parts):


Students will actively participate as observed by the total completion of the in-classwork as it is completed as a
class.
Students will work on station worksheets, working towards at least a 90% overall completion.

MATERIALS:
Pencil
Stations and materials

ACTIVITIES (There are three sections here):

OPENING (hook, purpose and basic plan)


Students will review Calendar Math and Fact Families with instructor, day 109.

BODY:(Bulleted step by step)


 Instruct students to have their eyes and ears focused on the person giving the instructions
 Students will be participating in an activity today
 Students will be on their best behavior, using whisper voices and working cooperatively as a group
 As partners or a group of three, students will be going station to station, following the directions and
completing the activity.
 All students will take with them is a pencil. All other materials will be at the station.

 Stations are set up upon student arrival, students should leave it exactly as they find it.
 All completed accompanying sheets go in the bin at the station.
 If there are questions, students should raise their hand and someone will be around to help.
 Students will start at the station they are assigned and rotate to the station to the right ( 1-2-3-4-5-1).
 Students will be at each station for 8 minutes, at the bell students will clean up and rotate no matter
what they are doing.

CLOSURE (Wrap up and brief summary):


Ring bell for students to finish at their last station and invite students to return to their assigned seats.
Students should be returning with only a pencil and one paper (bonus page). Ask students to reflect on the day,
what they did and did not like about the stations and the activities.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Use of verbal praise, verbal cuing, redirection
Preferential seating
Aids are present and helping students with relevant needs.

ASSESSMENT (How you will determine that student has mastered objectives?):
Instructor will continuously, informally assess students for comprehension, attention, and participation
throughout the lesson.
Students will work on station worksheets, working towards at least a 90% overall completion.

SELF-ASSESSMENT/REFLECTION (Complete this section if you have taught this lesson to peers or in clinical
placement):

Two students were absent so the groups were different, but they worked out well.

Students really enjoyed the tasks, being able to move around, and being challenged. This new experience was
fun in a way they don’t typically experience, but still very beneficial to their education.
