Describe the major river systems and discuss the physical settings that supported permanent
One of the most important rivers is the Nile River. An important element about the Nile
River is that it flooded once a year. This could have made it harder for people who settle there
because it makes it harder to trade. Not only but also, this could have helped because floods can
also ruin shelters. Also, “the Nile River is approximately 4,258 miles long” according to
Livescience. Furthermore, this river is sacred. It is sacred because that is how the Egyptians
developed their civilization, so the Nile is very important to them. Lastly, the Nile River had
irrigation, this is important because it could help with planting. In this case, every single time the
river flooded it left rich soil behind which helped very much with crops.
