Mk I Archive House Shyeel Artificer in a nutshell
Terrain Archive The Artificer is a powerful solo with many options on the table. He is good in melee with
two good POW attacks and a good MAT. He provides anti-blast support to a whole unit,
making him great at supporting low ARM Stealth models. He also has a useful spell that can
increase the efficiency of our blasts by pulling more models in close.

The Artificer combos well with low ARM, high DEF troops by making them immune to blast
damage. Any of the squishier casters can enjoy the DEF bump and blast damage immunity.
Two reliable, high powered beat back attacks on a beefy, sometimes un-chargeable solo, can
come in handy once body guard duty is over and zones or flags need to be cleared. Magno
Blast allows him to clear charge lanes, or push a target towards you by hitting support
troopers behind target.

Combos & Synergies


Thyron - by giving force barrier to him, it gets Thyron's DEF insanely high against
ranged attacks. In turn, Thyron can give him Storm Rager to make the Artificer truly

ranged attacks. In turn, Thyron can give him Storm Rager to make the Artificer truly
scary. As a fellow medium base, they can also block LoS for each other.
Rahn - under feat, he deals pretty good damage and is much more reliable
Mage Hunter Infiltrators and Mage Hunter Strike Force - particularly enjoy
benefiting from force barrier since they are susceptible to blast damage
Stormfall Archers, Phoenix - 3" aoes benefit most from Magno Blast, pulling more
models into damage range
Discordia - Kinetic Field and Force Wall can help protect multiple units from blasts,
put one with each unit

Drawbacks & Downsides


With only an average magic ability, Magno Blast is best saved for pulling models
around low DEF targets
Pretty slow, and no Advance Deployment means protecting Mage Hunter units is
trickier than it could be
Battle Mages and the Magister already have Force Barrier, so do not benefit from
Force Wall
Immunity to blast damage does not come with immunity to continuous effects.
Amassing near an Artificer when facing Feora2's bonded Vanquisher is a very bad
idea indeed.

Tricks & Tactics


When using Magno Blast you decide once for all models if to push/pull, not on a
model-by-model basis. Ref: Infernal post
You can Magno Blast your own Heavy in the back arc to pull models out of zones
Targeting a Gargossal with Magno Blast lets you affect a very wide swath of models,
perhaps pushing your own models out of melee with it
Use Beat Back to get enemy models out of zones
Force Wall makes your troops immune to both friendly and enemy blast damage. If
annoying high DEF units like Kayazy Assassins try to bog you down, put them in
the Artificer bubble and have Stormfall Archers lob shots at them to clear a path

With Kaelyssa's Force Wall Theme List
This theme force requires an Artificer for the best of the Tier benefits, and does a great job
protecting all those extra Arcanists from blast damage via his Force Wall spell. Magno Blast
also adds a bit to the control elements of the list.
