Thoughts on the Houseguard Halberdiers

Rules for Editors An excellent unit at a low point cost, they perform wonders. There are two ways of fielding

How to Edit
Donate Shield Wall and Brutal Charge are either/or abilities. Shield Wall makes them resistant to PS
Other 10 or lower attacks, while Brutal Charge helps to box high-ARM infantry or dent light 'jacks
Mk I Archive (with CMAs).
Terrain Archive
Pretty good for what they do: provide a nice high ARM front line unit that can make or take
charges. With the Ranked Attack ability, they become a screen for other more fragile models
to attack. In one case, you can set them up in front as a screen and the Houseguard
Riflemen behind them. The Riflemen can soften the enemies and the Halberdiers can take
out what's left.

They have a wide frontage that makes excellent use of Adeptis Rahn's Polarity Shield. They
can also provide a very effective unit for plugging gaps in terrain - although watch out for
enemies with Pathfinder who try and flank them.
