Summary of Qualifications
A service oriented natural heritage interpreter. Uses up to date educational and interpretive theories to
create active and engaging programming. Committed to the visitor experience by providing excellent
customer service and multiple avenues for visitor-staff interactions. Recognized for leadership, staff
training, and inclusion with the Charleston Lake Annual Staff Award, “The Loon.”
Senior Park Interpreter – Natural Heritage Education May 2013 – Oct. 2016
Charleston Lake Provincial Park, Lansdowne, ON
• Supervised 3-4 students in the Summer Experience Program along with assisting them in their
species identification, communication, and customer service skills
• Developed and implemented a training program that provided opportunities for staff to create and
present their own programming which allowed them to take on a larger role in the department
• Created and presented interactive programs for people of all ages to foster connectivity with
natural spaces. Maintained consistent attendance numbers for programming: 30-40 people for
children’s programs & 90-100 people for evening programs
• Promoted and raised awareness for Species at Risk in Ontario through inclusive, active, and
engaging programming
