Project Title : ANALYSIS OF EFFECT OF OIL CONTACT WITH

EPOXY RESINS ON COMPOSITE PARTS.

• During the fabrication of helicopter parts, first we have to prepare master model on
Which we have to lay up wet glass or carbon fibers.
• First we have to prepare master model using UREOL BLOCK. By dipping ureol
block in some specified hydraulic oil then removing it and cleaning the surface and
applying Acetone.
• Then laying up process is done using different fibers in different orientations.
• Then demoulding the obtained composite materials and trimming it to the required
dimension and sending the obtained composite to A-scan and C-scan department for
inspecting the defects if any. Like this we are comparing dipped and undipped ureol
block.
• The dipped block has debonding and resin starvation defects and the undipped is free
from defects.
• This project is done due to the prevailing conditions in the workshop like grease, dirt,
and other foreign particles depositing on the work materials.
