Esercizio 4
The Agricultural revolution was caused by the innovations in farming and by the increase of
population. The need for more food pushed the production and improved the quality of goods.
But after the Industrial revolution the population who had lost their farming land after the
enclosures had to move to the towns and cities, which had become textile towns. The invention of
the spinning wheel made the production of cloth very important and the workhouses became a
reality in the towns.
Esercizio 5
The negative aspect was that the people who had come from the country was exploited and had
to work for too many hours. The women and children worked there too. The conditions of the
textile towns were terrible. The positive aspect was that the production improved and many
people could find work and could live in cities like London.
