BEGINNING THE LESSON (20 min)


Greet the pupils
(Activities to revise the language of Unit 8b.)
The teacher gives pupils worksheets with exercises related to the verbs have and can and asks
the pupils to solve them.
PRESENTATION & PRACTICE (15 min)
(Activities to present and activate the vocabulary of the unit.)
FLASHCARDS (38-42)
Pupils’ books closed. The teacher shows the flashcards one at a time and says the
corresponding word. The pupils listen and repeat, chorally and individually. The teacher
points to the flashcards in random order. Individually pupils say the words. Asks the rest of
the class for verification.
Pupils’ books open. The teacher writes a big 14 on the board and asks the pupils to open
their books at page fourteen. Reads the title of the unit, writes it on the blackboard and
translates it. The pupils read the text and ask about the new words. The teacher writes them on
the blackboard and translates them.

Listen and match in your notebook.


The teacher reads the instructions and explains the task. The teacher goes through the sounds
1-3 and asks the pupils to guess which of the means of transport a-c is likely to make this
sound. The pupils listen and match. Check their answers.
