As a child I grew up flopping, one day I wanted to be a pilot, an engineer, a teacher, architect and
many other professions. Nursing didn't occur in my mind until when I was in high school.
Growing up, I always became interested in business and health field. I was not in a position to
determine what to be but to have a career that includes both. After reviewing and evaluating my
interests, I decided that I would work within the health docket and management. The job I
became interested in becoming a nurse, and I knew that nurses are the most important people in
our society.
After a completing my high school education, I started watching the E.R, and I began
thinking about it but seemed to be prudish as body functions didn't go well with me. However,
nursing career was in my mind, and the nursing schedule seemed appealing to me. I ended up
becoming interested in reading medical charts, health and doctors reports and diagnosis reports.
Before joining University, I got a small job where I worked in a law firm as a secretary
waiting for my results and later joined university and pursue a degree in nursing. During this
time I started seeing my life as being wasted working in a job that had no meaningful purpose.
One day my grandfather became hospitalized, and I was the one to look after him in the hospital.
Now I was older than before, and I had the courage to explain to the doctors the symptoms and

signs I was seeing in my grandfather and later account for the process of diagnosis to my family
members. I was with him all the time in the hospital and this lead to resigning from the law firm.
While in the hospital I took the role of a nurse at some point helping my grandfather.
After my grandfather was healed and discharged, that's where my nursing career started,
and immediately I joined University as a nursing student. This is where I got engaged with other
students whose ambitions of becoming a nurse like me were fulfilled. We learned to share our
experiences together and even practiced with them. We studied until when we graduated, and we
were licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and worked in a nearby Health Centre.
The reason as to why I chose the career is that I had an ambition and a dream of
becoming a nurse or working in the field of health since I knew that our society is highly
depending on healthcare. A nursing career is highly respected, and no one with nursing papers in
our society will be seen tarmacking looking for a job. Concerning salary, health category is
among the top paying jobs in the world, and I knew very well that my life would change once I
work as a Nurse.
delivering my duties to the society as it is required by the health law. My career goals when I
was in my first year was to pass all my exams successfully, and to work as a nurse in a hospital
that is supportive, enabling me to further my studies and help me build my clinical skills. I also

goals and committed to learning more by attending seminars and conferences and reading

moving to teaching, leadership and management and more so, enables one to be special in a
particular area. The specialization I chose is to be a Family Nurse Practitioner since it will allow
me to work in all conditions ranging from young to old groups and working in a medical office
setting. Pursuing an advanced degree will further my education and will make me more of an
