A) Theme: Peace

B) Passage:

Turn from evil and do good;

seek peace and pursue it. (Ps 34:15 NABRE)

C) Reflection:

In this day and age, we see acts of violence take place everywhere around us. When we

turn on the news, it is filled with stories about shootings and killings. It is very rare that

we see peace in our world, and we are now under the threat of another war. We pray to

God to keep us safe during these dangerous times and to help us work towards a time of

peace.

D) Prayer:

Dear Lord,

We pray that you look over our nation and the other nations of the world. Bless our

leaders with Your wisdom and help them make good choices to keep us safe. Help our

world move towards an end to violence.

We pray that you give us strength and resilience when we, or others we know, are

affected by acts of violence. Help us recover quickly and show love to those affected.

We pray that you keep us safe from harm and help us live peaceful lives with you.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in

the unity of the Holy Spirit. One God, forever and ever. Amen.
