Jose Rizal

José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (born in Calamba, Laguna


Province, Philippines, June 1861 - died in Dapitan, Zamboanga province (Mindanao),
Philippines, December 30, 1896 at the age of 35 years) is a national leader of the
Philippines. He was given an assortment of titles: "Pride of the Malay Race," "Great
Figure Malaya," "Main Figures Filipino," "Revolutionary Messiah," "Universal Hero,"
"Messiah Redemption." José Rizal's memorial day is 30 December and is a public
holiday in the Philippines. He was a talented. Aside from being a doctor, he was also an
architect, artist, educator, economist, ethnologist, agricultural experts, historians,
journalists, musicians, mitologiwan, internationalist, naturalist, eye doctors,
sociologists, sculptor, poet, playwright and novelist. He mastered 22 languages,
including: Tagalog, Cebuano, Malay, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, English, Japanese,
Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Portuguese, Latin, French, German, Greek, Russian, Sanskr.

José Rizal was the seventh child of a family of 11 brothers Francisco Rizal
Mercado and Teodora Alonzo and was born in a middle-class family of Chinese -
Mestizoyang rich in Calamba , Laguna Province , Philippines . José Rizal began
studying with Justiniano Cruz in Biñan , Laguna . He then went to Manila to study at
the Ateneo Municipal de Manila where he earned his diploma S1 in 1877 and graduated
as the best student in his class . He continued his studies at the Ateneo Municipal to
achieve a diploma dalah field of measurement and mapping of land and at the same time
, studying at the University of Santo Tomas in the field of literature and philosophy.
When he learned that his mother will be blind , he plans to take the field of medicine (
eye ) at the University of Santo Tomas but did not complete his studies because he felt
discriminated against by the Filipino people - padre padre Dominicans who take care of
the university.Without the knowledge and consent of her family , but with the full
support and the secret of his brother Paciano , he then went to Madrid , Spain , and
studied medicine at the Universidad Central de Madrid . From there he earned his
medical degree . Continuation of education at the University of Paris and Universias
Heidelbergdi Germany where he earned a second doctorate .

José Rizal famous essay two novels , Noli Me Tangere ( 1887) and El
Filibusterismo (1891 ) , both of which criticism of the Spanish colonization of the
Philippines . These books , inspired by the ideas in Cervantes , Uncle Tom 's Cabin ,
Don Quixote and the Prince of Monte Cristo , raised the ire of the Spaniards and
Filipinos affected Spain , because of its symbolism blunt and insulting in books . This
ultimately caused it demanded as the instigator of a revolution , and then submitted to
the military court and sentenced to death.

Jose Rizal The struggle began when he spearheaded the establishment of the
League of the Philippines with the purpose of the Philippine nation nationalism against
Spanish colonialism. But long before that, the struggle of Jose rizal had begun when he
wrote "the lads" that made him begin to suspect the Spanish government. After

the children katipunang ng mga bayan, which means the child union movement in 1896.
The revolt of the people katipun failure, consequently jose rizal was sentenced to death
for masterminding the uprising.

Although Jose Rizal indirectly holds weapons but his works are greatest
weapon inspires the spirit of the people to fight against all oppression and colonial
Spain and the Church of enslaving the people.
