Shikhar 2017

Shikhar, a national level paper presentation competition, is the flagship event of N.L. Dalmia Institute
of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai which was held on 26th September, 2017. It was started
in the fond memory of chairman founder Late Shri Niranjanlalji Dalmia.
This year the event topic was “Growing Protectionist Policies across the World, Are we moving
towards Deglobalisation? Oppurtunities and Challenges for India”.
Reputed colleges from all over India participated in the event to acclaim supremacy in intellect. This
year’s participating colleges were IIM- Ahmedabad, BITS Pilani, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of
Management Studies, MICA Ahmedabad & our own N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies
and Research. The event was duly graced with the presence of the judges Mr. Ajay Rastogi, Mr.
Piyush Singh, Mr. Mohit Jain and Mr. Kapil Jha.
Shikhar resonates to a Peak in Sanskrit. The event aims for the students to achieve the peak of
supremacy in intellect and creativity. Year by year the event the event keeps on moving ahead in a
battle to come to solutions to problems which hard hit our economic cycle. In the same combat,
Shikhar 2017 indeed evolved to a potential high swearing by its motto:
“Come, Conquer the Peak!”
A one of a kind event, Shikhar 2017, portrayed not only the future implication of current economic
policies but was also embraced with a historical exhibition and models depicting how the
protectionism will yet again pan out new perspectives in shaping the world we are living in. Shikhar
2017 was conquered by N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies & Research and IIM
Ahmedabad were adjudged First Runner-up.
