SUBJECT: NEW 8–PIN ENGINE HARNESS CONNECTOR

INTRODUCTION
The current MBE 4000 Service Manual(6SE412) does not contain any information pertaining to the
former and current OEM 8-pin Engine Harness Connector.

DETAILS AND REASON


Information was omitted from the service manual pages regarding the pin connection changes between
the former 8-pin engine harness connector (for a one-solenoid air valve for engine brakes) and the current
8-pin connector (for one solenoid and/or two-solenoid air valves for engine brakes). The service manual
pages have been updated with information to reflect these changes.
The former 8-pin Engine Harness Connector is identified with part number A460 150 00 33, and it is
used in the engines that have one solenoid air valve for the engine brakes. Beginning with the engine
serial number 739080, these current engines will have an 8-pin Engine Harness Connector with part
number A460 150 01 33.

NOTE:
The new (current) engine harness (part number A460 150 01 33) will work on a one-solenoid or
two-solenoid air valve engine.
The changes in the harness connections between the former and current 8-pin harness connector are
listed in Table 1 and listed in Table 2.
