Dear Board of Director of SEAMEO QITEP in Science and Selection Committe for
The Main Survey Capacity Building SEA-PLM

My name is Adella Anfidina Putri, I am currently a science trainer and


researcher for SEAMEO QITEP in Science. I have held this position for around three
months. I am fully realize that I lack on professional work experience, however I
believe my academic and research understanding will be able to support all of my
work. I am interested in joining The Main Survey Capacity Building Program which
held by SEAMEO Secretariat for Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics (SEA-
PLM) to learn more about learning metrics/ assessment, field operations, coding,
data entry, dissemination of findings and reporting in the implementation of
learning assessment. I am also keen to develop my management data ability and
improve my understanding on data analysis and setting of benchmarks of learning
assessment, in preparation for a research that I have in mind.
I graduated from Biology and I hold two master degree in Environmental
Science and Natural Resource Management that be able to support my work for
this program. I have several research experiences and my focus research is about
identification of priority protected areas using remote sensing and geographic
information system. All of my research experiences also improve my ability in field
survey and data management especially about collecting, processing and analysis
spatial and numeric data. I believe I am strong candidate for join this program
because of my own enthusiasm for and dedication to my position as a researcher;
coupled with my ability to devised a research, manage and processing the data of
the research. Although I have lack of knowledge about learning assessment, I am
confident I can through this program because I am a fast learner and will take this
opportunity to enhance my level of knowledge of learning assessment and
educational metrics data management that can be usefull for my work in SEAMEO
QITEP in Science.

My strengths include innovation, creativity also teamwork and leadership


skills. I extremely curious, flexible and always try my best to do every task. My
stay in Japan has allowed me to develop excellent communication skills and
amplify my problem solving skills. More importantly, I had the opportunity to work
with international community who taught me how to understand and to adapt with
various conditions. I am keen to join this program to enhance the education quality
in Southeast Asia also this program offers a great opportunity to grow and improve
myself. Thank you very much in advance.
