JOB TITLE • Dining Room Attendants (females)
JOB DESCRIPTION • Dining Room Attendants (females): Excellent English. Seating
customers, clearing tables, keeping assigned workstation stocked and
clean. Take food and drink orders from guests, delivering orders,
glassware washing duties. Bus tables, greet guests, clean dining room.
Take guests food & drink orders. Deliver food to the table, collect payment,
ensure guest’s positive experience. Ability to operate with U.S, money and
credit cards. Greet customers and provide them with a service in a timely
manner. Clean the table, floor and whole restaurant area if needed. Assist
in some food preparation. Be prepared to work in a high pace environment
and hot environment. Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Students should be prepared to live and work in a South Dakota remote
location. Place of nature and thousands of tourists during summer months
• Students have to be prepared for high and low restaurant occupancy and
work as many as possible hours during high peak business and expect low
hours during the slow weeks of operation!

HOURLY RATE PAY • $4.29 per regular hour + tips.
• Dining Room Attendants: Over the entire season, our servers range from
$10/hr to $15/hr
AVERAGE # OF HOURS • 35 - 40 average hours per week (After orientation, training & achievement
of satisfactory performance), the opportunity for the OT. Busy July and
August
PAYCHECK FREQUENCY • Paychecks paid bi-weekly
MEAL DISCOUNT • ($4.00 per shift for one meal and one beverage, whether you eat or not)
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK Housing is in Hill City, SD. The employer will provide a shuttle to and
from work site. Students must be on the shuttle or pay for a taxi to get
to/from work. Payroll deduction for transportation throughout the summer,
$6 for each shift student work
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS One shirt and apron is $15.00. Students have to bring: Blue jeans without
holes, shorts with approval, non-skid closed-toe shoes, socks and belt a
must, all hair pulled back, no jewelry, no visible body art or body piercing
GROOMING CODE • Yes. Facial hair for men should be clean shaven and hair above collar
length. Good personal hygiene is a must, including daily shower and bath
and use of deodorant. No visible tattoos or facial piercing during work
REASONABLE EXPECTATION • Much depends on the economic conditions in the U.S. during your
employment here. We can make no guarantee of overtime or the
availability of second (part-time) jobs. If you find a part-time job, please
make sure that you prioritize your obligation to your primary
employer. Any second or new jobs must be vetted and approved by

HOUSING INFORMATION
HOUSING ADDRESS • 244 Pine Street, Hill City, SD, 57751
COST OF HOUSING • Each student will be charged rent at $10.00 per day per student
DEDUCTIONS FROM • Payroll Deduction: 1) Federal withholding required by law 2) Housing @
PAYCHECKS $10.00 per day per student. 3) $4.00 for each shift worked for a meal and
beverage during your shift. 4) $6.00 each shift shuttle cost for
transportation between housing and work site
HOUSING DEPOSIT • $250. Upon Arrival. Students will be responsible for leaving housing in a
condition it was when they moved in. Fees apply for any damages or
cleaning of the housing
DEPOSIT REFUND • Refund is subject to property inspection. All students pay a $50.00
cleaning fee at the end of the season. Refund only after full program
completion, verification of room cleanliness, when students leave. Deposit
refund if satisfied with students final paycheck or sent by check to student’s
home address or agency after the season ends. Check-out list must be
clear of corrections for refund

such significant attractions as the amazing Mount Rushmore, Crazy
Horse Monument, and Custer State Park within a 15-minute drive. This

travel itinerary, please email it to Janus International at student@janus-
international.com. Please note that you are responsible for verifying your
university schedule prior to your travel arrangements. You must obtain
approval from Janus International and/or your employer of any changes in
your Job Start or Job Ending dates prior to your arrival in the U.S. If your
employer is unable to accept that change, they have the right to cancel
your Job Agreement. After your arrival in the U.S., any unauthorized early
departure from your program or from your employer may result in loss of
deposit or program cancellation
