Hydraulic Fracturing

 Hydraulic fracturing is a widely used technique to improve well

productivity and recovery of hydrocarbon in low permeability
reservoirs.
Acidisation

 Acidisation is used to clear / create flow channels near well bore for
improving hydrocarbon production.
Coil Tubing Services

 Coil tubing units are used for well servicing under pressure. This is
very efficient and cost effective method of servicing a well in

Production Testing is an operation to unveil the potential of

reservoirs and establish presence of hydrocarbon bearing zones
through various types of testing methods. The data so collected
during testing of well is used for establishing commercial viability
and future planning for development of fields.

The main modes of testing are:

o Conventional testing
o Drill Stem Testing (DST)- Nominal bore DST tools /Full bore DST
tools.

 Testing of a well involves risks / hazards of unknown pressures /

temperatures / behaviour and composition of reservoir fluids /
hydrate formations / flow of H2S and other hazardous fluids. Care
needs to be taken to ensure safety of wells, personnel and
environment.
 Completion of a well means making a well ready for production
using completion string (mainly known as production tubing),
subsurface safety and control tools and surface safety & control
equipment, suitable surface flow line

Well Testing and Completion of CBM Wells:

 Each CBM wells has around 6/8 coal seams depending on the
requirement of data generation, each coal seam may be flowed
and tested separately after stimulation or all the coal seams may be
stimulated and thereafter commingled production testing may be
taken up.

Production Testing in a CBM well is carried out in two phases:

 Initial production testing with rig in place

 Prolonged dewatering and gas flow measurement without rig.
The major activities of well testing and completion operations comprise of
sand cleaning of the well bore, lowering of artificial lift (PC pump/ SRP/
Macroni tubing/ESP), putting the well on dewatering. As the dewatering of a
well may continue for a very long time, depending on the nature of
formation, no norm is proposed for firm up for this activity. This phase of well
testing and completion starts after pre-frac and hydro-fracturing of the coal
seams have been completed.

WIRELINE SERVICES

To intervene in live wells to operate and resolve several downhole tools. This
technique is very useful to avoid costly rig deployment especially in offshore
for liquidation of wells and also to ensure safety of the wells.

o Onshore – mainly in Ankleshwar, also in Agartalla,
Ahmedabad, Rajahmundry, Cauvery & Assam as per the
need of the location.

SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT & STANDARDISATION:

 While the operations of Well Services involve hazardous

environment, which includes, high pressure / high temperature,
inflammable and corrosive/ toxic fluids, hydrate formation etc, all
efforts are taken to carry out operations in safest manner as per the
existing guidelines and International industry practices.
 Similarly, due care is taken to protect environment.
 All operations are carried out in standard manner for which manuals
on Standard Operating Practices have been formulated.
 Training & certification programs related to safety in operations are
regularly conducted for personnel for skill development and
adherence to guideleines.
