family plays an essential role in shaping the child’s behaviour and values. A child is
psychologically vulnerable to everything that happens between his parents. Tension and
conflict in the family induces emotional arousal in the child, triggering physiological and
psychological responses (Wang & Crane, 2001). Instability of the family economic
background and frequent quarrels between siblings and parents could increase the
emotional disturbance among the pupils.
