Subject: Horizontal Banding Adjustment

This document explains what you are modifying with Paper Micro Feed and Dot Shift Adjustments.

Description:
You have to perform these two important adjustments in order to avoid some Horizontal Banding
problems: Paper Micro Feed Adjustment and Dots Shift Adjustment are both included in the adjwiz2.

The purpose of Paper Micro Feed Adjustment is:

- Do the matching adjustment of paper feed accuracy by the specification between printer
mechanism accuracy and each media.

The purpose of Dot Shift Adjustment is:

- Adjustment for changing the used nozzle (position) in order to improve horizontal banding
by print head.

Paper Micro Feed Adjusment :

Please read the document EEE-TP-HW-04-051 if you want to know what value you have to choose.

On the print pattern you can see the same block

Remark: You only have to check the gray area
printed with different PF adjustments. You must
not the others colors included in the pattern.
choose the value for the best output.

Dot Shift Adjustment :

With this adjustment you are changing the used nozzle (position). On the next figure you can see
several Categories and the shift volume of each category and what nozzle are printing.

You must only check the gray and purple

area (right and left side) and choose the
value for the best output.
