1. QUESTION TAGS
You know what Questions Tags are, don’t you?
If not, I’m sure you have heard them before, haven’t you?
Question tags are those short questions that are sometimes added to the end of a sentence when you
want someone to agree (or disagree) with you or when you are not sure about something and you
want confirmation. Sometimes they are added just to make conversation.
We are going to divide question tags in two; verb to be question tags, and present simple question tags.
a) VERB TO BE.
I am a teacher, aren’t I?
You are a teacher, aren’t you?
He is crazy, isn’t he?
She is Chilean, isn’t she?
It is a dog, isn’t it?
We are students, aren’t we?
They are birds, aren’t they?
So, to create negative question tags for a positive statement, we use the following structure:

2. QUANTIFIERS
A quantifier is a word or phrase which is used before a noun to indicate the amount or quantity:
'Some', 'many', 'a lot of' and 'a few' are examples of quantifiers.

a majority of
Countable nouns have a singular and a plural form. In plural, these nouns can be used with a
number- they can be counted. (That's why they are called "countable nouns").

Uncountable nouns can only be used in singular. These nouns cannot be used with a number- they
can't be counted. (That's why they are called "uncountable nouns").
