III. PROPOSED SYSTEM

A. Problem statement
The major challenges in Telecommunication power
system on which Telecommunication Operators and
infrastructure companies face are:
x Monitoring and Managing Telecommunication sites.
x Remote side control of power system elements and
other equipments.
x Gathering accurate data on a common platform
(Software).
x Making availability of information to all the
concerned in the “Real Time”.
x To keep a track of alarm and Site Status.
x Control over outage of cell sites.
x Scheduled maintenance and break down
maintenance.
x Management of energy source.

B. Proposed System
SCADA is one of the best automation software for Fig. 1 Telecom Communication
industries and commercial applications. It provides effective
automation system for both industrial processes and
commercial power management application especially in D. Power System Setup
Electricity network. The following block diagram explains the power system
setup for Telecommunication network.
In this project SCADA based solution is designed and
analyzed for the Telecommunication power system. By using
HMI and PLC system, remote monitoring and controlling of
field devices can be achieved in SCADA. The SCADA
software WINCC developed by Siemens used in this project to
design the front panel of the system. To interface the field
devices, PLC unit used at the mobile work station unit. The
WINCC software provides remote monitoring and controlling
system for the mobile telecommunication power system. This
system also provides Alarm logging facility to monitor the
errors and faulty condition of the equipments. The Tag
logging feature provides the information about the each power
system equipments. Using trending feature the performance of
the system can be viewed using graphs. Using report
generation feature the performance of the systems can be
recorded and maintained for future evaluation purpose. Here
in this project Telecommunication Mobile work station unit is
considered as the application area to provide the solutions for
the above problems Some Common Mistakes
