October 1st 2016 New Teacher Induction Logbook

My mentor and I discussed the upcoming parent teacher conferences and what information I need to have

accessible during the conference. In our meeting we discussed possible scenarios that may arise during the

conference, what to do if there is a conference that I would like an administrator to sit in on, and what needs

to be done if a conference runs over on time. Before meeting I was not aware that I needed to have a sign in

sheet to record what parents came in for the meeting, what data I needed in addition to the report card, what

other support teachers need to attend the meeting, or the procedures to sign out a conference room to

conduct a phone conference. After meeting with my mentor I am not more confident about parent teacher

conferences and I feel that I will be able to adequately handle any situation that may come about. In our next

meeting my advisor and I will be going over SLO procedures.

It is the mission of the Pocono Mountain School District is to prepare all students for tomorrow's challenges and opportunities.
