## Selection of battery sizeand solar panel

Now, Load in watt (LCD TV) =55 watt
we have to design an inverter for load of 55 watt and required backup time for batteries is 1 hour and we
have to model a solar inverter than inverter than inverter ratings, Required number of solar panel and
number of batteries are calculated as follows.
Inverter should be greater 25% than the total load
55*(25/100) = 14watt
55 + 14 =70 watts
This is the rating of the inverter
Now the required backup time in hour = 1 hour
Suppose we are going to install 10Ah, 12 V
P = 12* 10
= 120 watt
So, the 55 watt LCD TV runs for
120/55 = 2 hours.
To calculate the energy it can supply to the battery, multiply watts by the hours exposed to sunlight, then
multiply the result by 0.85 (this factor allows for natural system losses)
For the solar 100 watt panel in 10 hours sunshine,
100 * 10 * 0.85 = 850 watt
For 1 hour,
100 * 1 * 0.85 = 85 Wh
So the solar panel of 100 watt and battery of 10Ah, 12 V are selected (office or home purpose)
Battery backup we increased as our requirement.
