RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW HAMPSHIRE

ANTIQUE TRACTOR CLUB PULLING EVENTS

RULING DATE 2/26/18

1. Member dues must be current to pull at any Tractor Club event (no exceptions).
2. No tractor newer than 1960 will be allowed to pull.
3. New Hampshire Antique Tractor Club pulls are based on stock tractors.
4. Classification of tractor size in competition are broken down as follows:
Class #1 2,000 lbs. and under
Class #2 2,001 lbs to 2,500 lbs.
Class #3 2,501 lbs to 3,500 lbs
Class #4 3,501 lbs to 4,500 lbs
Class #5 4,501 lbs to 5,500 lbs
Class #6 5,501 lbs to 6,500 lbs
Class #7 6,501 lbs to 7,500 lbs
Class #8 7,501 lbs to 8,500 lbs
Class #9 8,501 lbs to 10,500 lbs

+ No Tractor over 10,500 lbs will be allowed to pull in competition.


+ Two tractors in a class will consist of an official pull.

5. Speed limit will be enforced as follows:


a. 5.0 mph for all classes
b. Exceeding the speed limit will sound a horn as a warning.
c. The driver will have 3 seconds to slowdown below the speed limit. If the horn
sounds for more than 3 seconds the driver will be disqualified.
d. The driver is allowed 2 warnings. If the horn sounds a third time the driver will
be disqualified.
6. Scale house is opened from 7 AM to 9 AM.
7. No weight can be added to the tractor after official weigh in.
8. The Pulling Committee will have the privilege of reweighing a tractor and disqualifying
driver.
9. Drawbar:
A. Maximum drawbar height is 20 inches. If spacers are added, top of spacer not to
exceed 20 inch rule.
B. Drawbar length must be a minimum of 16 inches from centerline of rear axle to
clevis attachment point.
C. Tractors with 3 point hitch drawbars must have bar secure with stabilizer arms.
D. In the event of a two-point hitch, the bar must be secured in a fixed position.
E. No hitch supports above the centerline of the rear axle are allowed unless it is
factory. This includes turnbuckles, chains ect… Unless the tractor is equipped
with wheelie bars.
10. Must have clevis on the tractor when weighing in. Clevis must be securely attached to
the draw bar. A clevis is not required if pulling from a “ring”, however the ring must
have a minimum opening of 3 inches.
11. Only track personnel are allowed in the pulling area during pulls unless approved by the
Pulling Committee.
12. On deck tractor must stay at the gate until the flagman notifies the driver to enter the
staging area.
13. All tractor drivers must pay attention to the flagman. Discrepancies between the driver
and the flagman must be brought to the attention of the Pulling Committee before the end
of the class.
14. Tractors must be in neutral and hands off control when being hooked and unhooked to
sled. Flagman will take notice.
15. The driver must remain seated at all times. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
16. The first pull in each class will be a test pull determined by the Pulling Committee.
17. If pulling a transfer sled the driver has the option of stopping before the 25 foot mark and
pulling again from the starting line. This can happen only one time.
18. If pulling a stone boat the driver will have an optional second pull. The second pull will
begin from the starting line and regardless of which pull was further only the second pull
will count.
19. Once the driver starts their pull, there will be no shifting gears or ranges including
tractors with torque amplifiers, etc.
20. If either tractor or sled hits the white line, it will be disqualified.
21. Each tractor will be allowed to participate in only one weight class. The winner of the
weight class has the option to pull in the next weight class up without adding weights.
a. The July pull at Cornish is an exception to this rule. For this pull each tractor may
pull two classes. However, there is no optional pull for the winner.
22. Anyone pulling must be at least twelve years of age and approved by the Pulling
Committee.
23. No chains, no half-tracks, no dual wheels, and no four-wheel drives.
24. No modified tires (cut or ground to improve traction)
25. All tractors must have working brakes.
26. All tractors should have a secure throttle system. No governor overrides. Note: There
will be no modern day engine modifications.
27. No passengers on tractors.
28. During pulling events, there will be no unnecessary riding on grounds.
29. No front, rear, or mid-mount attachments.
30. No alcoholic beverages in or around pulling area. Note: Driver will be disqualified if
intoxicated. This will be determined by the Pulling Committee.
31. These rules are in place for safety and to offer fairness at New Hampshire Antique
Tractor Club events. The policy chosen for enforcing these rules is the honor system.
Upon reading these rules, if you believe your tractor is not in compliance, please contact
a member of the Pulling Committee.
32. Pulling Committee will make decisions on all rulings.
