USEC DINO TO LEAD SYMBOLIC SHS CARAVAN

LEGAZPI CITY - Usec Lorna Dig-Dino of DepEd Central Office will lead today the SDO
Legazpi Senior High School (SHS) Caravan at Embarcadero de Legazpi Activity
Center.

More than twenty local and national establishments including franchisees of international
brands have expressed strong support to the initiative of Schools Division Superintendent
Cecille Bernadette P. Rivera, CESO V in staging the second Senior High School Caravan to
showcase employment, business and academic opportunities awaiting senior high school
graduates in the multiple exits of the K to 12 curriculum.

This symbolic caravan marks the first batch of regular Senior High School to graduate since
its full implementation in 2013 from the ten participating public high schools to include
Pag-asa National High School, Legazpi City Science High School, Oro Site High School,
Cabangan High School, Arimbay High School, Taysan Integrated School, Maslog High
School, Homapon High School, Banquerohan National High School and Cagbacong High
School respectively.

DOLE Rgional Director Exequiel R. Sarcauga, CESO III, DTI RO-V Director Jocelyn LB Blanco
and Acting Regional Director for CHED Bicol are expected to deliver talks strengthen the
implementation of the Senior High School curriculum in the city to empower the youth who
will in time will add up to the rapidly growing middle class in the country.

Congressman Joey Sarte Salceda of the 2nd District of Albay, author of the universal access
to tertiary education that paved the way for free college education in the State universities
and Colleges (SUCs) will also deliver his message together with City Mayor Noel E. Rosal at
the opening of the Senior High School Caravan 2018.
