Dear Structural Engineer Hiring Manager:

I am writing in response to the Structural Engineer position posted on LinkedIn web site.
Currently I am a Graduate Student at The Ohio State University, with a 3.9 GPA in Civil
engineering majoring in Structural Engineering. In addition to relevant experience in
design of high-rise steel structures , knowledge of Staad-pro, RAM Structural Systems
and academic background, I am very interested in the Structural Engineering industry
and feel that my work values would be a good fit for ​DLR Group​ .​

As the attached resume indicates, I have a total of 5 yrs experience with designing of
Steel and Concrete Structures . As a Structural Engineer at Desein Indure Group of
Companies and , I designed several heavy steel and reinforced structures. I also
collaborated with different teams of Mechanical, Electrical, site engineers and govt.
officials to develop the economical and sustainable designs.

The emphasis on team-work and working on various types of projects helped

strengthen my communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Numerous courses
have helped hone my analytical skills, increased my knowledge of analytical softwares
and develop a sort of engineering common sense. I have also spent a great deal of
time creating reports and preparing presentations using MS office products.
