The Glorious Breakfast is the largest outreach event hosted by the Women of Glory.
This prayer breakfast is held yearly on the 2nd Saturday of July at Georgios Banquets
in Orland Park, IL. We pride ourselves in serving over 500 individuals who consist of:
women and men shelters, family and friends. The outreach is bigger and broader than
the walls of our sanctuary which is located at 12238 S. Parnell Ave. This is one of the
many ways we spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The annual keynote speaker is our
own CoPastor, Dr. Katie R. Bland whose dynamic delivery of the word of God
compels you to keep coming back for more each year. We believe that winning souls
and reaching out to the needy are essential and our responsibility for expanding God's
Kingdom.
Glory to Glory prayer breakfast contributes to the physical man (natural food) and
spiritual man by preaching and teaching the word of God, by the laying of hands and
praying for one another. Our endeavor is that everyone who enters this venue
experiences the presence of God. We don't want anyone to leave in the same frame of
mind in which they came. The breakfast concluded with gift giveaways. The Women
of Glory not only donate their time, energy, prayers but also gifts. The gifts range
from $10 gift cards to tablets, fire sticks and a flat screen TV. Our prayer is that the
every lost or hurting soul is delivered, chains are broken and hearts are healed.
There is a lot of thought that goes into the planning of the Back to School Rally event every year. Our timely
event embraces the summer weather through getting others involved like Jesse White Tumblers, Chicago Fire
Department, Chicago Police Department, CTA Cooling Bus, Wal-Mart, WJYS Channel 62, Dental Mobile, Blue
Cross/Blue Shield, Jewel/Osco, McDonalds, South Side Drill Team, Silver Stallion Ranch, Game Truck, Dino
Jump, Larry’s Barbershop, 34th Ward Alderman Carrie Austin, American Lung Association, and the American
Heart Association. The rally is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, share
information from our very own Glory to Glory Parade of Ministries, enjoy family and friends and see outreach
ministry in action. Our mission is to promote and showcase an understanding of what outreach ministry is all
about, share resources on stopping the violence, provide Christian biblical principles application, plus
highlight our church at the same time.
This one-day event attracts more than 1,200 people, visiting church’s, choirs, key-note speakers, evangelists,
preachers, vendors displaying their wares, spiritual enlightenment, fellowship, delicious foods, liturgical
dancing, singing together, face painting, giveaways, raffles, live entertainment & a host of guests. The Back to
School Rally has historically been one of the best ways to spend the day with friends and family.
