Introduction
Project Background
In this age of mobile, people like to get their job done through mobile phones. Mobile
phones are easy to bring anywhere and almost all Malaysians own at least one
smartphone. Malaysian telecommunication company on the other hand, keeps their
pace on par with the current technology. The problem is that most organisations does
not follow standards in information technology. Without standards, any changes will
be difficult, time consuming, and ultimately costly. With the rise of 5G wireless network
and insanely fast mobile processors, mobile phones have become more capable of
completing common computerize tasks. In the future, mobile phones can replace
computers, just take the example from current smartphone accessory the Samsung
DeX which could connect Samsung latest smartphone the Galaxy S8 into a full fledge
computer experience. Although this might be useful, others who purchase other
smartphone brands are unable to use this accessory because again lack of standards.
In summary, this project called myUni will introduce the usage of standards while
making university communicate globally.
