PROJECT – Designing of „Stadium of Burch“

Project scope – goals and statements

-Make a new homeland and fully modern stadium for a brand new bosnian
football club FK „ILIDŽA“ .
-Constructing 50.000 seats, in total on stadium's stands.
-Suiting stadium for helding on the european competitions such as Champions
League, League of Europe etc. according to all FIFA and UEFA standards and
regulations.
-By making such a stadium, it'll be able to attract and accept a lot of people to
watch not only european football competitions, but watching the qualifacational
and friendly matches of representation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
-„Stadium of Burch“ will be placed between Therme and the main road toward
Sokolović Kolonija.
-Total dimensions of whole stadium will be approximately 45.000 m2, including
green area of pitch, all facilities and offices.
-Pitch will be in dimensions 110 x 70, which is quite satisfying FIFA and UEFA
requests.

Project scope – deliverables

-Drawings – 10 drawings, 15 sections, 20 sketches, seven 3D model views.
-Statical analyses – statical analyses, calculations and construction design of steel
and concrete structures.
-Lighting plan design - proper arangment of reflectors etc.
-External or landscape design of stadium ( drawings of park, transportation
entrances, garages, parking places etc.

Gather stakeholder input

- One of the most richest bussinesman in Turkey, Aziz Yildirim, has expressed his
desire to buy 85% of shares of this football club. He will also appoint his own
constrution company to perform construction works on site of stadium.
-Aziz Yildirim is boss of Turkish football club Fenerbahce, which successfully leads
it more than decade.
-Aziz Yildirim, as investor did submit some requests to company, who is
responsible for designing the stadium, to plan 100 VIP places on west stadium
stand.
-One of requests for designers are:
*The stadium should posses the movable system of coverage of whole stadium
above the pitch area, according to weather condtitions.
*The heating system under the ground around the green areas or pitch, in case of
sudden malfunction of covering system.

Establish project boundaries

Boundary statements will certainly help to this project designer team to separate
the things that are applicable to their project from those areas that are out of
scope. Such a boundary deliverables will be:

*Delivering all proper drawings, as it is mentioned before, needed to perform

constructional works. But not dealing with constructional performance of another
firms or recources, meaning that those things will be out of scope.

Baseline scope statement

In order to project „flow“ toward the accurate goal, this design project must to
satisfy a couple of requests, which are the essential and important for further
reputation and performances of firm. Those are:

*The project owner, sponsors, and stakeholders
*The problem statement
*The project goals and objectives
*The project requirements
*The project deliverables
*The project non-goals (what is out of scope)*
*Milestones
*Cost estimates
Since in this case, this design organization may be more project oriented
organization to the scope statement, it may also contain these and other sections
such as:

*Approved change requests
*Project assumptions and risks
*Project acceptance criteria
