Solution Implementation Overview

The Oracle Rapid Start solution for Oracle Project Management includes the following
implementation approach:

• Define – Agreement in definition and collaboration on goals and objectives for the project
management solution. Scope may potentially include multiple phases to incorporate broader
functionality and additional workflows, and other capabilities.

• Design – Involves a review of your current project management processes and how they will

be mapped to the out-of-the-box leading practices and configurations inherent in the
solution.
• Build – This phase encompasses completes application configuration, testing, data loading,
and CRP approvals to validate solution functions.
• Transition – The tested and approved solution is moved into the planned production
environment and the ‘Go-Live’ checklist and tasks are executed. End-user training is
completed as the final step before the ‘Go-Live’ cutover.
• Production – Rollout execution is supported and business usage is monitored by project
team members and Oracle Extended Services to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
Project Resources and Major Deliverables
The Oracle Rapid Start solution for Oracle Project Management will require dedicated customer
resources involvement as the team produces, reviews, and approves the following outputs:
• Project Scope Agreement Plan
• Business Solution Design
• Test and Pilot Plan and Results
• User Deployment and Support Plan
The customer will need to provide adequate resources to support the necessary data/ process
gathering, interviewing, and organization objectives required by this project. Third party system
integration is not included as part of the Oracle Rapid Start project scope and will need to be
identified separately.
Comprehensive Premium Resource and Extended Services
The Oracle Rapid Start solution for Oracle Project Management is typically implemented in as
little as 12 weeks; specific implementation timelines may vary based on whether other Oracle
Projects Suite applications are being implemented and/or if integration with legacy systems,
customizations to the product, or custom reporting are required. We leverage senior resources to
advise you on the best project management solution and review all project implementation
considerations. In addition, we will also make various Oracle Extended Services resources
available to support your utilization of the Oracle Project Management solution.
