KUCHING: A leukaemia patient on board a Malindo Air aircraft died during a flight from the

Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kuching this morning.

Kuching deputy police chief Supt Abang Junaidi Abang Anuar said the victim, Wong Ho
Huah, 46, from Sri Aman, was confirmed dead at about 11.10am by the flight supervisor.

Supt Abang Junaidi said Wong was accompanied by his brother, who sat beside him on the
flight.

"At about 12.03pm, as soon as the aircraft landed at Kuching International Airport (KIA),
police received a report on the incident and a team from the Sungai Maong police station
rushed to the location.

In a statement here Sunday (March 25), he said that the team did not uncover any criminal
element and the case has been classified as sudden death.

He said the body of the victim was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post-
mortem. – Bernama
