SSi System Overview

The SSi Artificial Lift System is :
• Ultra Long Stroke, Intelligent Rod Lift
System.
• It is Ideally suited wide range of production,
high load, difficult fluids .
• Comprised of three main components:
• Pumping unit
• Power unit
• Control and optimization integrated
intelligent system

Unit Model 150 250 350 400LS 600 800
Stroke Length 168” 240” 372” 336” 336” 360”
EMC‐SSi Unit ‐ Key Advantages

Well  Optimization
• Stroke length and SPM are adjustable
while the unit is running. All operations
can perform from  the power skid

• Up and down stroke speed can be
independent. This can maximize pump
fillage, and minimize rod stress, rod
floating and effect of fluid and gas
pounding

• Ability to remotely monitor.

SSi Unit ‐ Key Advantages

Well  Optimization

• Ability to analyze well pumping conditions via internally generated
dynamometer card.

• Efficient operation, resulting in lower power consumption

• Extends time between failures (fewer rod/pump cycles).

SSi Unit ‐ Key Advantages

Safety and Field Operations
• All adjustments to operations will be on the
power skid.  No routine operations are
required at the pumping unit.

• Ability to space out & in from the power
skid  touch screen.  No need   for crane ,
tooling and stopping  the unit  . Operators
do not need to access moving parts.

• Braking system is inherent in the system.
No mechanical intervention is required to
fully lock the unit safely.
SSi Unit ‐ Key Advantages

• Small footprint and lighter design allows for:
• Less shipping weight. It can Fit on a single truck
• Small crane  and 2 people can install a unit in 4 hours.
• Minimum site preparation
• Easy to move back and in from wellhead for servicing.  Unit
self aligns when moved back into service.  Does not require
any crane or trucks.
SSi Unit ‐ Key Advantages

Safety and Field Operations

• No guy wires required
compare to well head
mounted hydraulic pumping
units .

• Few pinch points.
Potential Candidates

• Deep Wells
• Deviated Wells and Horizontal Wells
• High Failure Frequency ‐ Rods & Tubing wear
• Low Gravity Crude
• Difficult fluids
• High Bottomhole Temperature
• High Volume Production for conventional Beam pump
• (Low‐Med) Submersible Range
• Dewatering/ unloading  Gas wells

Conclusions

• The SSI unit when compared to traditional Beam units has the
capacity to pump from deeper depths and produce more fluid.

• It will accomplish this with a low load and consequently smaller

motor which translate into lower energy costs.

• The long slow stroke results in more efficient pump fillage, less
reversals and less percentage of stress loading on rods which mean
lower downhole problems and HIGHER EQUIPMENT RUN LIFE.
Conclusions continued

• When comparing the SSI system to low to medium ESP’s, you can
expect to obtain significant power savings and low lifting cost.

• While not recommended, the SSI system can withstand fluid pound
without catastrophic failure
EMC ‐ SSi Artificial Lift

We are aiming to lead the artificial reciprocating lift

industry through innovation in:

 Technology and service models

 Reduce lifting costs and safety hazards

 Meanwhile increasing production over the lifecycle of

the field
