Work Experience
Reliability Engineer (Full Time), Dow AgroScience, Pittsburg, CA September 2017 – December 2017
 Constructed spare parts strategy for 95 critical instruments in distillation and burner systems; projected cost avoidance
of $1.389 MM
 Investigated and proposed alternative valve technology for leaky isolation valves in HX system; projected cost
avoidance of $450+ M
 Spec’d, ordered and implemented $15 M mag drive pump to replace problematic mechanical seal pump; projected
savings $7.5 M per year.
 Registered spare chlorinolysis reactor and purchased pump flowmeter for nitrogen seal ($3 M)

Run Plant Engineer (Full Time), Dow Chemical, Freeport, TX January 2017 – April 2017
 Assessed dead head protection for 205 pumps on site – Identified 53 gaps and closed 47 in accordance with LPP &
OSHA standards; made recommendations for the remaining pumps to the EH&S Focal Point
 Optimized hydrocarbon vent system through $1.2 million flare reduction; led project team to determine scope and
feasibility - project has been rolled out to capital team for 2018-2019 implementation
 Created and implemented an inventory tool for Plant A Drumming to provide real time/historical tracking, asset
utilization, turnover rates and product specific data

Reliability Engineer (Full Time), Dow Corning/Dow Chemical, Carrollton, KY May 2016 – August 2016
 Performed vaporizer testing and provided solutions to improve sealing and extrusion issues (implemented Mar, 2017)
 Audited siloxane processes and added internal piping (spargers, feed/dip pipes) to vessel maintenance plans
 Gathered and centralized relief device data for calculation updates (42 total systems)
 Generated and implemented a site database to track historical and future data for over 400 heat exchangers on site

Reliability Engineer (Full Time), Dow Corning, Elizabethtown, KY August 2015 – December 2015
 Developed a risk based assessment program to extend relief device maintenance intervals
 Established 118 CBM plans to save approx. $12,000 per year in hard savings; increased capacity rates will lead to
approx. $600,000 per year in savings once target OEE rates are reached – (exact values are still being determined)
 Completed three relief valve calculations for developmental systems in new process lines
 Performed pressure drop calculations for existing process to determine project scope for capital pump upgrades
