Villegas likened divorce to test-driving a car and replacing it with a better

Divorce is not applicable to Filipinos.
Divorce is a concept based on the cultures, customs and tradition of Americans.

We are Filipinos, we value our own culture, customs and tradition of close family ties.
We stick together thru thick and thin, thru one fish for all but we are happy.

So, don't apply what is for Americans and not for Filipinos.

Annulment retroacts to the date the marriage was entered into and said marriage is
treated as if it never existed, whereas divorce terminates an existing marriage once the
decree of divorce becomes final. So, how are children born out of a "marriage that never
existed" classified -- illegitimate? At least, children born of marriages ending in divorce are
clearly legitimate and carry the surnames of their fathers.
△ ▽ • Share ›

SC Kang > Copernicus99 • 3 years ago −

In Civil Annulment, the child's legitimacy and illegitimacy isn't in question. Only
the marriage validity is in question.
△ ▽ • Share ›

Copernicus99 > SC Kang • 3 years ago − ⚑

I know that. My point centers on the effect that an annulment of
Yes,
marriage has as far as the identity of the child born during the marriage is
concerned. We should think out of the box and look beyond the effect on the
validity of the marriage union. Children born of failed marriages are the
collateral damage.

SC Kang > Copernicus99 • 3 years ago − ⚑

Are you serious that there is confusion with the identity of the child?

Correct! In 1993, I and others were handing out free condoms and other
contraceptives. People were skeptical at the time. Now, "good Catholics"
go to the barangay health centers to get information and free
contraception. I have seen this a few times and knew in time, people
with the information can make the informed choice best for them and
their partners.
With divorce, the laws shouldn't be so free and loose or be so harsh. The present
legal separation system can be tweaked. Make the that process easier for couples to
legally separate. They would have no more than 2 years to
decide, if there will be a divorce. As an option, a no fault divorce should be
available. If there are children and/or property, then they can do it through an
attorney's office and bring it to court with the agreement already set. The judge just
needs to ratify it.
If it's a fault divorce, then there is a full process

I have been married for 49 years and I see nothing wrong with a Divorce Law. Everyone
makes wrong decisions in life and wish they can go back and do it over again. Unless you
are one of the ones sitting on couch and waiting for Government Hand out. I have 2
daughters who was married right out of High School, who married persons that they had
been going to school with for 4 years. I tried to talk them out of it because I knew kids now
days are not as mature as when I and wife got married when I was 19 and she was 21. After
being Married for several years both found out that it was not bed of Roses. Both Divorce.
1 had 2 kids and remarried and has 2 more kids by present husband. The other I guess
learn lesson and has never remarried which is going on 20 years. So what I am saying here
is everyone should have a chose of how you live your life and not dictated by someone who
has not walked in your shoes. Even the Pope has said that it is wrong and inhuman to give
someone a life sentence when they have made a mistake. So maybe the church should take
another look at their Stand on the Divorce law.

"likened divorce to test-driving a car and replacing it with a better one should it fail"... The
only problem here is that the individuals got married too soon. I propose a two-step
solution:

1) "Don't buy the car unless you have test-driven it first." Test drive here, test drive there
until you find one you want to keep; and
2) "You wouldn't take driving advice from someone who can't drive, why take marriage
advice from a celibate man?"

Ancient empires like the Roman were master manipulator of the people. They used psy
ops to control the minds of its vast empire. One way was to have religion mixed with
christian values , paganism , satanic rituals and egyptian symbolism. Thus they came up
with their master plan Roman Catholic Church based in Vaticanus.

They gathered all a cadre of religious scholars and made this huge and mammoth
organization promising gateway to heaven and damnation in purgatory. But all have to
bow to the priests and confess their sins. Basically , it was their version of NSA or CIA to
snoop on the masses. They injected fear of damnation if they commit sins and to follow the
santopopeng de imahe a creation of the Romano Empire. Its all a ponzi scheme mga
koykoys. And its alive and kicking to this day as we speak. Their goal is mental
enslavement and adherence to something you dont even know about. Blind obedience in
short. Just another taxation every sunday . Your young sons and daughters being molested

Giving a Bishop a lecture on a Biblical scripture. There are 73000 interpretations of
the Bible and all are claiming to be the truth. So please keep that interpretation to
yourself. Blaming Biblical illiteracy for corruption, violence dishonesty etc. This
will not apply to nations who don't bellieve in Christianity as a whole yet they are
not corrupt, dishonest vindictive , etc. Rather blame the governement. Filipinos are
just victims of society. Improve their livelyhood and you will see the difference.
Generaly Filipinos who are working abroad are praised and beloved because of
