LORE IN A NUTSHELL
● In game world 1:1 parallel to ours until 2020
● In 2020 a huge ABC war started by a Rogue AI “ Moloch”, sets back humanity
decades if not centuries, population reduced severely
● most areas became uninhabitable, ABC to crippling diseases and mutations
sometiems mutated diseases
● Game takes place in 2050’s
● Mexico doesn’t exist anymore, instead there’s a huge, vicious ecosystem called
“Neojungle” which devours everything in its path expanding rapidly north.
● Canadians were all turned into savage, mindless neanderthals long time ago
(reasons unknown, Moloch is prime suspect)
● Nobody knows what’s happening in Europe, nobody even cares or has time to ask.
● No universal currency instead there’s barterbased system “Gambeling”
○ “Gambel” is an assigned base value of an item, trading should lead to
exchange of various items of similar value
MECHANICS
3d20 system
● Very similar to d20, but with certain changes
● You roll 3d20’s (hence the name)
● To succeed in a test you need to roll a value lower or equal to the statistic being
tested on 2 out of 3 dice
○ you can reduce the value of a roll by subtracting an amount equal to the skill
being tested from 1 of the dice.
● Combat is turn based
○ Each turn lasts about a second if converted to “real” time
○ Each turn consists of 3 segments
■ Segments are used for all actions, usually 1 segment per action
■ Some actions can take multiple segments (slow reloads like
crossbows, revolvers, refilling magazine bullet by bullet and the likes)
■ Player can choose to spend more segments on an action (to punch an
opponent harder, aim more accurately, fire a burst etc.)
● I as an anon made a rule modification (originally every nat 1/20 roll lowered/raised
the difficulty level of the test by 1)
○ >single nat 1
○ you succeeded
○ >double nat 1
○ you succeeded in a borderline magical way
○ >triple nat 1
○ HOW THE FUCK IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE
○ >single nat 20
○ Well, you fucked up, TRY THAT AGAIN
○ >double nat 20
○ You fucked up the thing you were working with beyond repair and hurt
yourself in a varying degree
○ >triple nat 20
○ BRAVO, YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL, YOU COULD'VE PREVENTED THIS.
○ You have perished.
MAIN LOCATIONS
● Salt Lake City
○ Strong Christian community
○ Believes that there’s a Trinity that’s needed in order for their people to
prosper “Church, School and a Shooting Range” (Holy Trinity oversees them)
○ They sometimes prove that Faith can indeed move mountains
● Desert People
○ Nobody knows how’d they come to existence or how do they survive in barren
wastelands full of sand, deadly and sneaky animals and no food
○ Adopted Native American traditions, outfits and beliefs
○ Skilled warriors, Proficient in “alternative medicine”, borderline magic stuff,
can figuratively speak with animals.
● Vegas
○ People who don’t seem to have noticed a war, sure, they’re coughing a lot
more, but who cares, when you can gamble all your cares away, there’s a
steady supply of drugs, booze and whores
○ Optimistic cheats, hacks and crooks
● The Outpost
○ A group of mobile scientists protected by highlytrained military
○ They travel around the NorthWestern areas trying to reverseengineer
Moloch’s creations to use it against him
○ Highly knowledgeable about technology and combat
● Detroit
○ Doesn’t care about dealing with New York or fighting Moloch
○ Due to the nature of the city, drugs, fuel, and experienced mechanics are very
prized
○ Was never great now it’s even worse, or actually gotten better, depends
○ 97% black
○ Locals are aggressive gangers who solve their problems through violent
races and shootouts
● New York
○ Supposedly, America is being rebuilt there
○ They have a President, city is divided by Colorcoded districts
○ Has problems with smog from before the war, that’s now filled not only with
heavy metals, toxic compounds but also diseases
○ They mint their own money which becomes worth less the further away you
get from the city (glows in the dark though)
● Miami
○ Flooded, people live in prewar skyscrapers where floor you occupy signifies
the social status
○ Huge reptiles, a lot of mutated bugs carrying various diseases and unfriendly
weather make it a place that’s slightly above Missisipi River areas
● Appalachian Federation
○ Try to trade with New York and revive train connections
○ A feudal castbased society that respects tradition, honor, and hard work
○ Main source of heavy industry, the only one left considering the scale
■ Mines, Ironworks and the likes
● Missisipi
○ People hardly can recall it being an actuall river, now it’s more of a toxic
sludge, filled with huge predators, mutated reptiles
○ Locals somehow adapted to all the shit being in water and air, they’re said to
have acidic blood and being able to eat cereal with bleach instead of milk
(probably rumors)
● Texas
○ Fairly unharmed by war in a direct way, but “suffered” severe technological
regress
○ Mainly exports Horses and Cattle to the rest of the Country
○ People are relatively very healthy, and life would be great if not for Bandits
and expansion of neojungle
● Southern Hegemony
○ Violent gangs when the only law is Might, and physical prowess
○ Encompasses areas of Southern Arizona, New Mexico
● Neojungle
○ Vicious, carnivorous animals and plants, sneaky deadly parasites and bugs
○ Nobody knows where it came from
○ Air is unbearably hot and damp
● Moloch
○ A conglomerate of soulless machinery, robots, sometimes crude, terrifiying
○ cyborgs, building sterile, industrial cities and expanding to the South and East
