Transformer Test (POWER TRANSFORMER)

The test is divided into steps. The test is as follows.

1. VISUAL INSPECTION

EXCITING CURRENT MEASUREMENT

3. Short Circuit Measurement (SHORT CIRCUIT CURRENT)

4. Measure the ratio of the electric coil (RATIO TEST)

5. Measuring the resistance of the winding (WINDING RESISTANCE)

6. INSULATION RESISTANCE

7. Insulation loss (DIELECTRIC LOSS)

8. HIGH VOLTAGE EXCITING CURRENT

9. Insulation Test of Transformer Oil (INSULATION TEST OF

TRANSFORMER OIL)

10. MEASUREMENT OF POWER CAPACITY AND NO LOAD TEST

11. Short-circuit power loss (PERCENT IMPEDANCE AND LOAD

LOSS TEST)

12. BUSHING CT Test. (BCT. TEST)

1.1 VISUAL INSPECTION

Before testing the transformer How to use the measurement tools to make.

Explore the general conditions that are unusual or not as listed below.

- ARCING HORN

- LIFTING LUGS

- POCKET THERMOMETER

- TAP CHANGER

- OIL INLET

- OIL-LEVEL GAUGE

- OIL-CONSERVATOR

- DEHYDRATING BREATHER

- RADIATOR
- NAME PLATE

- OIL DRAIN VALVE

- MARKET PLATE

- CAPACITY PLATE

- EARTHING TERMINAL

- TERMINAL MARKING (ANSI)

- OIL LEAK

- CRACK BUSHING

(EXCITING CURRENT MEASUREMENT)

Test pressure Set as: If the test coil is rated at 1 KV

Test with 200 V. If the test coil has a voltage less than 1 KV, test it.

With 50 V.

Test methods

- Connect the circuit as shown in Figure 1.

- Adjust the voltage as required. Read current and voltage

- In the case of a STAR (Y-CONNECTION) and NEUTRAL terminal

Measure the LINE TO NEUTRAL, but if NEUTRAL is not outside, measure

LINE TO LINE

- Measure all TAP and PHASE of transformer according to PHASE SEQUENCE.

Measurement of this stimulus Check that the coil is short circuit. Or iron core.
