1.1. OBJECTIVE:-

To construct Temporary Bench mark stations along the alignment staggered at an

interval of 2 Km (approx.)

The temporary bench marks will be marked on the steel piles driven into the
sea by GPS control method. The construction of temporary bench mark will
be done by following procedure. The procedure will mainly consist of following
steps
1. Mobilisation
2. Casted Pillers
3. Demarcation of Benchmark

Mobilisation
The location of the temporary benchmark shall be decided along the
alignment on an alignment Plan. Pile drilling equipments along with the
material and other instruments shall be mobilized on to the location with the
help of crane.

A metal plate will be insert of the top of the Pillers to create a base for
temporary bench marking.
Temporary casting piller M15 Grade of concrete are used (appox.area
0.200*0.200*0.500 cum)
Demarcation of Benchmark
With the help of high resolution GPS/Total Station , and Auto level used for
Level transfer on Bench mark will be fixed on the top of the Benchmark, the

co-ordinates of this benchmark will be counter checked with respect to

permanent benchmark on land or other fixed benchmark station from more
than two locations. The final co-ordinates will be painted on the benchmark.
