What is an adjective?

Simply the adjectives are descriptive words. Adjectives are used to describe, identifies,
modifies, quantifies or give information about things, ideas and people.

In English, an adjective usually comes before the noun it pertains to and the form of an
adjective doesn’t change, it does not matter if the noun being described is male or
female, singular or plural, subject or object.

For example:

The RED carpet. or The WHITE cat.

Colours

Adjectives can be used to describe colour. Here below there is a list of most common
colours:

Whte silver grey black blue turquoise

green ellow gold orange brown red

rose pink purple violet

The order of adjectives

In English the order of the adjectives is very important. You can’t put an adjective
where do you want in a sentence.

Adjectives usually come in this order:
