Super-Speciality in Ophthalmology:
(As per General Body Decision on 23rd January 2010 at Kolkata )
Fellow All India Collegium of Ophthalmology (FAICO)
Eligibility:
Basic Qualification in Ophthalmology
DO/DNB/MD/MS / Any recognized foreign qualification
Plus 2 years Experience after Diploma (DO) & 1 year Experience after MD/MS/ DNB
Fellowship Awarded after Certifying Examination

Examination Process:

1 Stage: One Hour online Exam (Theory): MCQ (60 Questions) – Pass Marks: 70 %
2nd Stage: OSCE- Cut off 50 % 3rd Stage: Viva
First 7 Centres – each with Speciality Expertise
Venue – Designated Centres of AIOS
New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune ,Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad
If a candidate passes Stage -I, but is unable to qualify in Stages 2 & 3: that candidate can
take next consecutive chance for Stages 2 & 3 without having to write stage 1 again.

Type of Questions: Date for OSCE and Viva – 15 days after online Exam.
1.Must know : 50% 2.Moderate : 25 % Examiners (Two): Local - 1 - External - 1
3.Hard : 25 % No Negative marking
