V. Internal Assessment

a. Corporate Structure

According to Stuckenbruck, Linn C. (1979) a matrix organization is defined as one in

which there is dual or multiple managerial accountability and responsibility. In a matrix
there are usually two chains of command, one along functional lines and the other along
projects, product, or client lines.

The organizational structure of the FilInvest Land Inc. follows a Matrix organization
because the top management which is the Board of Directors and President has lower
chains which are Business units, Business Support and Corporation Support that has
different functions such as sales, marketing, personnel, production, office and research
and development etc.

b. Corporate Culture

Corporate culture is the pervasive values, beliefs and attitudes that characterize
a company and guide its practices. (Margaret Rouse, 2013) The FilInvest Land Inc. has
a good working environment and productive culture. They provide free snacks to their
employees and giving rewards as motivation. But they’re working long hours like
working 8 hours plus overtime. These are some of feedbacks in FilInvest Land Inc.
personnel’s about culture:

According to former Office Administrator (October 17, 2017), “The most enjoyable part
of my job is the learning process that helped me grow professionally as well as the
camaraderie with my co-workers. I learned a lot with dealing with different kind of
people with different kinds of personality.”

According to the Sales Manager’s (October 6, 2017), “a typical day at work is you
motivate your staff and co-workers to be more productive in every each day. To be
more efficient and responsible of each task that they are given. What I learned in my
current job is I have to be more flexible to my coworkers and staff in able to give them a
sense of security, trust and motivation which will give them a positive working individual.
Workplace culture is a real estate which deals with houses and condos. The hardest
part of the job is when you seem, you do not reach the target goal at the end of a month
but at the end of it you still made it and push through the target goals. The most
enjoyable part of the job is when you learn to meet different people with different culture
and attitude.”

According to the Registration Staff (July 13, 2017), “The hardest part of the job is the
management will pressure the employees to meet the deadline of each buyer account.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the co-employee will help you to motivate in the
work.”

According to the former sales director (April 13, 2015), “As a Sales Director, your main
goal is to maintain the company goals hit by your team. The challenge is how you are
going to make your people become more active and produce as high as they can to
achieve the ultimate company goals. But, it is also very important to remember that it is
not about the quota and sales productivity. It is also your duty as a Director to inject the
right attitude and values in work which will signify their identification as a good
employee.”
