To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the privilege of serving as a mentor teacher to Alison Lord for the 2017-2018
school year. Alison is a thoughtful and purposeful teacher. She knows the curriculum very well
and knows what it takes to help 6th graders succeed. She has high expectations of her students
and holds them accountable which helps them to be very prepared for junior high. She knows
how to relate to her students and really enjoys them. They have great respect for her as well.

Alison is very open to new ideas and ways to improve her craft as a teacher. I have really
enjoyed my conversations with her and I learn new things from her as well. She is highly
professional in her relationships with students and other teachers. It has been a privilege to
serve as a mentor to her.
