SESSION TITLE: 21st Century Literature of the Philippines and the World, 1st Quarter

NO. OF PARTICIPANTS: MALE: FEMALE:


DURATION: 6 Hours
OBJECTIVES: The 6-hour session should enable the trainers to facilitate the discussion on the first quarter of the 21st Century Literature
of the Philippines and the World competently. Particularly, the participants should be able to:
1. Identify the components of the curriculum guide
(i.e content, content standards, performance standards, learning competencies, coding)
2. Determine the pedagogy in translating learning competencies
3. Choose appropriate assessment activities for teaching/ learning activities
KEY UNDERSTANDING/LEARNING POINTS:
1. Overview on the use of the curriculum guide and its contents
2. 21st Century Literature and its characteristics
3. Literary History of the Philippines
4. Literary genres and text types of the 21st Century Literature of the Philippines
